Best counters for Mega Absol in Pokemon GO

Absol is a Mega Tier Raid boss in Pokemon GO, which should please Generation III aficionados. For the Generation III remakes, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Absol was one of much earlier Pokemon to gain a massive evolution.

Absol has one of the scariest Attack stats (319 in Pokemon GO) and some powerful weapons to go along with it in both the main series games and Pokemon GO.

Which Pokemon can defeat Mega Absol in a short amount of time?

Mega Absol may have massive attacking power, but it is also extremely vulnerable. Because this Dark-type Pokemon only has 163 Defense and 130 Stamina, it will be easily defeated by strong counters in a short period of time.

Take a peek at the counter with the highest-ranking: Shadow Machamp. Mega Absol can be defeated in 393.7 seconds by this juggernaut. This is particularly astounding given that it is the only Pokemon capable of defeating the Raid in under 400 seconds.

Mega Absol can be defeated by fighting and fairy types.

Mega Absol is best fought by powerful Fighting-types in general. True, Fairy and Bug can deal a lot of damage to Dark-type Pokemon, but those Pokemon aren't as powerful as Fighting-types.

The majority of these Pokemon, including Lucario, Conkeldurr, Heracross, and Machamp, have extremely high Attack numbers, making them great choices for any Raid battle, let alone Mega Absol's.

Fairy-types are still good to bring against Mega Absol, even if they don't win as swiftly. Zacian is the 7th ranked counter in this Raid battle, therefore any trainer who caught it during part three of the Ultra Unlock is in luck.
