Genshin Impact recently announced the 'Shadow of the Ancients' event and other planned content in a tweet. In version 2.2 of Genshin Impact, gamers will be able to participate in the Shadow of the Ancients event. All of the gameplay details and activities in this event were revealed during a special live stream for this version. With the current announcement, the event's eligibility requirements have also been announced.

How to play Genshin Impact's 'Shadow of the Ancients' event

Genshin Impact players must be at least Adventure Rank 30 to participate in the Shadow of the Ancients event. They must also have completed the "A Flower Blooms in Prison" Archon Quest. Eligible players will assist the Adventurer's Guild with an investigation commission after Shadow of the Ancients is launched. In Shadow of Ancients, as with most events in Genshin Impact, participants will have the opportunity to gain a few hundred Primogems.

Shadow of the Ancients event activities

In the Shadow of the Ancients event, Genshin Impact gamers will have three different activities, according to the version 2.2 live stream:

  1. Investigate six areas using a new gadget: Ayesha's Chaos Prospector.
  2. Use Electro attacks to charge Pursina's Spikes while fending off enemies.
  3. Defeat a unique enemy called "Anomalous Model Ruin Grader."

Genshin Impact players will get Ayesha's Chaos Prospectors in Shadow of the Ancients' first action, "Investigative Surveys." Gamers will use these things to look for targets of interest in six distinct regions.

The Chaos Prospectors will indicate the locations of neighboring survey targets, leading players through this section of the event. At any given moment, players can utilize up to three Chaos Prospectors to locate their targets.

Players will be tasked with charging Pursina's Spikes in the second activity, "Data Sampling." Fischl, Raiden Shogun, Keqing, and Lisa are all characters who should be handy in this exercise. To charge the spikes, electro energy is required, and these characters are capable of dealing with Electro assaults in fast succession.

Enemies will try to attack you while you're charging the spikes. The Genshin Impact players must deal with the dangers while keeping Pursina's Spikes from losing too much energy. The activity will fail if the progress of the spikes reaches zero.

The Anomalous Model Ruin Grader will be defeated in Shadow of the Ancients' third and final action, "Live Testing." Pursina's Spikes is a variation of the previous activity.

Pursina's Spikes will be charged once more by Genshin Impact gamers as they battle a range of adversaries. The Ruin Grader will become weaker as the spikes charge. The enemy should gain a protection buff with two active spikes and an attack buff with three active spikes.

When all of Pursina's Spikes are charged, players should endeavor to defeat the Ruin Grader. Otherwise, if you defeat the adversary, it will rebuild itself.

Genshin Impact players will receive Primogems, Mora, and other level-up materials for finishing the Shadow of the Ancients event. Eligible players should make plans to participate in the upcoming challenges in this event.
