Fire at a shopping plaza on Shaker Road in Longmeadow

Longmeadow firefighters are battling a blaze near the Connecticut state line in a commercial plaza. People can see flames and thick smoke rising from the shopping plaza at 909 Shaker Road, which is near the Enfield, Connecticut line and is located at the intersection of Shaker Road (Route 192) and Maple Road.

A grocery and a liquor shop are among the stores on the plaza.
