Genshin Impact 2.4 leaks: Update release date, and expected character banners Zhongli, Ganyu, and Xiao rerun

The release of Genshin Impact 2.4 is less than a month away, and leaks have already surfaced online. The community is on pins and needles about next year's content, with a new area and a slew of new characters already teased by reputable sources. Aside from that, Shenhe and Yun Jin, two new characters, will be introduced to the game.

Fans of Genshin Impact may celebrate once more, as the upcoming 2.4 updates will include some of their favourite Liyue characters. This is an opportunity for both new and experienced players to assemble a strong member for their party. Following the customary maintenance, Genshin Impact 2.4 will be released on January 5.

Among the characters teased for Genshin Impact 2.4 are Zhongli, Ganyu, and Xiao.

Before any major update, there were leaks in the community. While MiHoYo has officially confirmed some of the characters for 2.4, there are also rumours of reruns in the other half of the series. In January, Ubatcha, one of the most dependable sources for leaks on Twitter, highlighted the potential releases:

A new area called Enkonomiya is scheduled to be introduced in the Genshin Impact 2.4 upgrade. It's unclear if the two new figures have anything to do with the region, but insiders say they'll be more appropriate for the approaching Lantern Rite. Enkonomiya, on the other hand, will have its own map layer, similar to the Golden Archipelago, with the exception that it will be permanent.

In the Genshin Impact community, Zhongli, Ganyu, and Xiao are all well-known. While one of them has already had a repeat, Ganyu and Xiao have not. Players will look to save primogems in order to obtain one of these three Liyue characters, who are considered the greatest DPS and support in the game.

With the new Enkonomiya locale and Lantern Rite event, everyone should be able to obtain any of the impending five-star characters in version 2.4.

With all of the leaks and rumours, Genshin Impact 2.4 is shaping up to be a really exciting upgrade. Starting on January 5, 2022, players will have access to a wealth of content, including several reruns, new characters, and places.
