Genshin Impact: How to Get the KFC Glider Skin

Is it going to be free, and how do you acquire it? Genshin Impact is finally bringing the KFC glider skins to North America and other servers outside of China. From March 8 to March 21, 2021, Genshin Impact collaborated with KFC outlets in China. The photos of Diluc and Noelle from the collaboration were first revealed in February. KFC skins were supposed to be included in the game, according to some fans.

In reality, only an image of Diluc and Noelle dressed in KFC uniforms was released, and these were not included as Skins in the game. The collaboration also included a glider skin, KFC-themed in-game cuisine, and exclusive apparel that could only be gained by eating at KFC locations.

How to Get the KFC Glider Skin in Genshin Impact Through the Adventurers' Guild on Twitch

Wings of Feasting, the KFC wind glider in Genshin Impact, can be obtained by purchasing two tiers 1 sub on Twitch streamers' channels. On November 24, HoYoLAB will publish a list of Twitch streams linked with miHoYo for this campaign.

You can either buy one subscription and give another to someone, or you can give two subscriptions to that Twitch streamer's community. Note that Amazon Prime subscriptions, anonymous gifts, and existing recurring subscriptions are not eligible for the event.

Other minor rewards will be included in the Wings of Feasting redemption code, such as 30,000 Mora and culinary items such as Jade Parcels, 2 Tonkotsu Ramen, and 2 Sautéed Matsutake. Finally, to use the redemption code, you must have at least Adventure Rank 10. Each Twitch account is limited to one code.

The Twitch campaign event for the Adventurers' Guild will begin on November 24 at 12 PM EST / 9 AM PST and terminate on December 8 at 10:59 AM EST / 07:59 AM PST. Click here to see the Twitch campaign's start time in various time zones, and here to see a countdown to the event's end.

Was the Genshin KFC glider Skin free in China?

The KFC glider skin, as well as an exclusive in-game recipe, stickers, and other stuff, could only be obtained by purchasing the Genshin Impact x KFC menu in China, which was never free.

As I've always said, miHoYo has a hard time understanding its English-speaking audience, but it's improving. If a sufficient number of people voice their dissatisfaction, the KFC glider skin may be made available in a more f2p friendly manner. And the Twitch campaign's incentives will be changed to something more valuable than food. Similarly, in October 2021, the "let's try to contact Elon Musk" campaign was canceled.

In any event, miHoYo claimed in March 2021 that by July 2021, a way for obtaining the KFC glider outside of Chinese servers would be revealed. Even if it's a few months late, we've finally learned about that strategy.

On November 24, Genshin Impact Version 2.3 Shadows Amisdt Snowstorms will be released, and on December 14, 2021, new characters Arataki Itto and Gorou will be released. The JRPG is accessible on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices, with a Nintendo Switch version in the works.
