How to use the Brute Chopper in Halo Infinite

Unlike the ordinary UNSC Warthog, which has four wheels and drives like a car, the Brute Chopper is a one-person alien vehicle that drives like a motorbike. The driver sits in an open-air cockpit, and the Chopper is propelled forward by two huge armour-plated wheels in front of him. Though operating the Chopper may seem strange at first because it defies established physics, this guide will teach you all you need to know to master the Brute Chopper in Halo Infinite.

Driving

When you find a Brute Chopper, go in the driver's seat and press X to drive as soon as the prompt appears. The Left Thumbstick is used to control your directional movement, while the Right Thumbstick is used to control the camera. Because the Brute Chopper is less stable than a Warthog, which has four wheels on the ground, navigating in a straight line may be more difficult. Because it can be unsteady at times, be careful not to tip it over when hitting objects and turning.

When it comes to turning, you'll notice that the Chopper's distinctive shape allows you to make sharper turns and enter tighter spaces than some of the larger ground vehicles. By holding Left Trigger, you can also activate a boost ability (LT). For a limited time, this boosts your speed. Your boost metre is displayed in a metre on the bottom-right side of your screen. You'll have to wait for it to recharge before you can boost again after it's depleted. You can get some serious air and distance if you time your boosts appropriately immediately before hitting ramps or hills.

Combat

The Brute Chopper's main combat feature is a pair of Spiker autocannons mounted on either side of the front wheels. Simply aim your reticle at a target and press the Right Trigger (RT) to fire the guns. The fire rate is slow, but it does a good job of dealing damage. In comparison to a Warthog turret or a Ghost, the slower fire rate means you'll have to nail your shots because you'll have fewer chances over a longer period of time to nail hits. Fortunately, the shots go a long distance, allowing the Chopper to be used at a distance.

The Brute Chopper is well renowned for its ability to ram things, while the autocannons are your major combat tools. If you apply a boost right before colliding with another vehicle, it will likely burst into a clump of rubble. Depending on its health, the Warthog may take two hits before you find it. Ramming is also effective against ground adversaries. Simply time your boost to hit an enemy Spartan in the face, and they'll be splattered instantaneously.

When utilising the Chopper, remember to be cautious. Although the front is armoured and prevents a lot of shots, you're vulnerable to power weapons and sprays from numerous assault weapons from the sides.
