Shenhe in Genshin Impact: abilities, release date, and more

MiHoYo has announced that Shenhe is one of Genshin Impact's forthcoming characters. She is a Liyue native with ties to the Cloud Retainer and the Adepti, but she lacks an Anemo vision. Here's all we know about her so far, including when she'll be released and what she can do.

Before the Inazuma upgrade, Shenhe was datamined in Genshin Impact, but practically all traces of her were deleted from the in-game code. After the 2.2 updates, however, those traces reappeared in droves. MiHoYo has already debuted Shenhe, giving fans a first look at the next character.

Shenhe release date in Genshin Impact

Shenhe has yet to be assigned a release date in Genshin Impact, despite the fact that he was first announced in November 2020. Hu Tao, Rosaria, Kazuha, Kokomi, and Sayu are only a few of the characters who appeared in the same datamine. It may only be a matter of time before she appears.

Update 2.4 – a patch following Itto and Gorou — is expected to be released in early 2022, according to one leaker.

Shenhe abilities in Genshin Impact

Shenhe's status as a Cryo character has been verified. Many people assumed her skills were linked to Liyue's Cloud Retainer because her name means "God of Crane," and it turns out that Liyue is her master.

Shenhe weapon in Genshin Impact

Shenhe was rumored to be a Claymore character in early data mines. However, other Claymore characters, such as Ayato and Itto, are on the way. That has evolved several times since then, from Claymore to Catalyst to, most recently, a Polearm.

Shenhe was said to be a five-star character as well. If that's the case, she'll launch alongside her own distinctive weapon, which will be displayed on a banner. However, there are no specifics available.

Shenhe story in Genshin Impact

In Genshin Impact, there are a lot of crumbs concerning who Shenhe is. The majority of Liyue's characters have lines dedicated to her. Shenhe has been described as "fierce" by Xingqiu and "ferocious" by Ganyu. She has ties to the Cloud Retainer, which Ganyu alluded to, although it's unclear whether she's a human form of the Adeptus.
