Halo Infinite: How to create custom games

The multiplayer mode in Halo Infinite debuted a few weeks sooner than expected, and it appears to be quite popular so far. While many players will undoubtedly take advantage of the game's public matchmaking, personalized games are also available during the test. This article will show you how to make custom games and will go over some of the options available to you when doing so.

Choose "custom game" from the game's main menu to make your own game. Despite the fact that it is a multiplayer game mode, it is not found in the multiplayer menu. To invite your friends to your lobby, go to the "friends" option in the bottom-right corner of the screen and choose which friends you want to add.

Prior to starting your game, you'll have access to four options while in the main lobby screen: mode editor, map selection, lobby options, and server settings.

You can choose any model you want to play and fine-tune the rules of your custom game using the mode editor. You'll be able to choose from a variety of modes, including Slayer, Capture-The-Flag, Stronghold, Oddball, Stockpile, and variants of each style.

You have numerous options for editing the rules of the selected mode in the mode editor. You can change the score and time limitations, as well as the respawn settings, in the match parameters. You can adjust the attributes of weapons, equipment, vehicles, and melee assaults using sandbox options. You can enable or disable different sections of the players' heads-up displays using HUD settings. You may alter how much or how little damage players take using the health and damage parameters. Players' movement rates can be sped up or slowed down, and the in-game gravity can be adjusted. You may customize the number of in-game bots as well as their difficulty using the "bots" option. Finally, the final option, which is simply the name of your selected mode, allows you to adjust how many points are received for specific activities.

The map selection is significantly easier: you simply choose which map you want to play on. Lobby options allow you to customize the privacy of your lobby; at the moment, the only choices are "Friends Only" or "Invite Only." You can also turn on or off spectators (commonly known as "observers"), as well as modify the maximum lobby size, which is presently set to 28 players.

Finally, server settings allow you to modify the server on which your game runs. There are now only three options: Xbox Live, local offline, or a LAN network. It's set to Xbox Live by default, and unless you're planning a LAN party anytime soon, we recommend you leave it that way.

Clearly, there are a plethora of options to experiment with, allowing for all kinds of odd and strange matches that you wouldn't find in public matchmaking. Feel free to experiment with them as much as you'd like, and once you've found something you like, simply press "play" from the lobby menu to start your custom match.
