Halo Infinite - How To Get Yoroi Armor

Fracture: Tenrai, the first big Halo Infinite multiplayer event, is coming soon, and if you play it well, you'll be able to obtain the Yoroi armor, the first-ever event-exclusive Halo Infinite armor core for your Spartan. This extraordinary limited-edition armor is modeled after samurai battle armor. It also serves as a foreshadowing of the unique cosmetics that will be available for Halo Infinite in the years ahead, as 343 makes its first foray into the free-to-play multiplayer arena, which is dominated by a revolving shop of cosmetic goods that can be purchased or earned. Everything you need to know about the Fracture: Tenrai event, including how to get the Yoroi armor core, is right here.

When is the Halo Infinite Fracture: Tenrai event?

Tenrai begins on Tuesday, November 23, and concludes one week later, on November 30. Tuesdays appear to be the days for Halo Infinite DLC updates in the future, and it all starts with Fracture: Tenrai. 343 has not yet specified a particular start time on that day, but we anticipate hearing about it soon.

You'll be able to unlock event-exclusive goodies once the event starts. Though 343 has stated that you'll have more than just this first event week to earn the Yoroi armor and other cosmetics, signaling that some items may return down the line in either new ways, as shop items, or perhaps during event replay periods, Fracture: Tenrai will include its own completely free event pass with unique rewards that you won't find in the standard Halo Infinite battle pass. As 343 attempts to change the way these standard live-service mechanisms work in its first free-to-play game, this seems to complement the seasonal battle pass's way of never expiring.

Fracture: Tenrai event pass and rewards

In a recent tweet from the official Halo account, it was revealed that the free Fracture: Tenrai event pass will offer 30 tiers of exclusive cosmetic goodies, including the highly sought-after Yoroi armor core. You'll also be able to acquire different hues, known as coatings in Halo Infinite, new helmet visors, a new belt with a Tanto (Japanese short sword), and more. Although not all of the rewards have been disclosed yet, you can see a few of them in the image above.

How to level up the Fracture: Tenrai event pass

You'll have additional challenges to complete during the event, which you'll be able to see in your challenge menu. A Halo marketing lead emphasized on Twitter that these event tasks would be color-coded differently in the menu for easier readability and that completing them will earn progress on both the event pass and the Season 1 battle pass. However, this is not the case in the opposite direction. General Season 1 tasks will only provide you XP for your battle pass, not for the event pass.

Future Halo events will follow the same format: all players will get free event passes, and you won't have to buy the seasonal battle pass to get at least some of the incentives, such as challenge swaps, and XP increases. As the event approaches, we'll be adding additional details to this page, so bookmark it for challenge help and a future Fracture: Tenrai fashion show. In the interim, our beginner's recommendations, as well as an overview of the finest weaponry and greatest equipment in Halo Infinite, can help you brush up on your skills.
