Escape From Tarkov: How to earn Twitch Drops

This holiday season, Escape from Tarkov is in full flow. Christmas Trees have been added to many of the maps, and Twitch Drops have returned. For any Tarkov player, new or veteran, this is an exciting time. Twitch Drops aren't a new concept for Escape From Tarkov, but they've been tweaked this year. The drops used to be random, but now there is a timetable, and time requirements must be satisfied to acquire each drop. Let's take a look at how to receive your drops from Twitch streams.

How can you get Twitch Drops?

Livestream Drops were given out randomly in earlier twitch events for the game when you watched a participating stream. To divide the crowd, Battlestate Games would assign specific streamers to have drops enabled on specific days, allowing multiple streams to share the spotlight. They appear to have done something similar this time. Every day, individual streamers will announce whether or not they have dropped in their stream title. This time, though, the timing of the droplets is different.

This year, the drops will not be distributed at random. You must watch a stream for a specified amount of time before receiving a drop. The time required to watch streams has been reduced from what it was previously. When the event began, you were required to watch 2 hours of a stream for your first drop, followed by 4 hours of watch time for each subsequent drop. For each drop, you simply need to watch for two hours.

With six total drops, you'll need to watch at least 12 hours of live streaming to get all of them in one day. However, if you are slow to claim your drop, the following one may take longer. This is due to the fact that the 2-hour countdown for each drop does not begin until the drop before it has been claimed. So, if you leave the stream open for six hours but don't claim the first drop after two hours, you'll only get one drop.
