Final Fantasy XIV: How to Unlock Desynthesis

In Final Fantasy XIV, having unneeded equipment in one's inventory or storage can be inconvenient, but by employing Desynthesis, players can earn both Gil and crafting resources. Desynthesis is a unique Action that allows players to recover resources, Demimateria, and crystals from various things. Weapons, tools, armor, accessories, furniture, and even fish are examples of such objects. Fans can either sell the resources obtained from Desynthesis for Gil on the FFXIV Market Board or use them to construct a new item. This mechanism allows crafting materials to flow freely through the player economy, providing a steady stream of cash for the user.

While the resources obtained by Desynthesis are somewhat random, materials linked to the item will always be received. If a piece of armor can be produced with a Steel Ingot, for example, desynthesizing the armor will very always result in a Steel Ingot. Separate from crafting job levels, FFXIV Desynthesis has its own leveling system. While a person may be a Level 42 Weaver, their Weaver Desynthesis level may vary depending on how often they desynth Weaver-related clothing in Final Fantasy XIV.

Desynthesis is not available right away in the game; instead, it must be unlocked by completing the "Gone to Pieces" side quest. Syntgoht, the task giver, can be found at X: 14.0 Y: 10.0 in Ul'dah, near the Sapphire Avenue Exchange. To accept the task, players in Final Fantasy XIV must first reach Level 30 in any crafting job. Level 30 can be attained rapidly by completing Tradecraft Lives in Ul'dah, Gridania, or Limsa Lominsa for those who have yet to learn about the Disciples of the Hand. FFXIV users can quickly acquire enough XP for their selected job by purchasing cheap HQ or High-Quality products from the FFXIV Market Board.

How To Use Desynthesis In Final Fantasy XIV

Players can now use Desynthesis after reaching Level 30 as a crafter and completing the short quest "Gone to Pieces." There are, however, a few limits worth mentioning. To desynth an item linked to a specific crafting job, players must be at least Level 30 in that job. For example, to disassemble swords of Level 30 and below, players must be Level 30 Blacksmith.  

Players should also make sure that the Item Level of the equipment they're trying to desynth isn't too high compared to their Desynthesis level, as this will reduce their chances of obtaining HQ resources. In Final Fantasy XIV, players can open the info window of any item to discover if it can be desynthesized. They continue with the disassembly if the choice isn't greyed out. As previously stated, the more goods a player desynthesizes, the faster they level, boosting their chances of receiving HQ materials for selling or manufacturing.
