Final Fantasy XIV: How to get the Prince Lunatender minion
Final Fantasy XIV has a lot of personalization options for players, and a bunch of them were added with the Endwalker expansion in December. Pets that follow the characters around are known as minions. Some interact with the character in unusual ways, like sitting on his shoulder or engaging with other minions.
When the Mare Lamentorum map was teased before the release of the expansion, the Lunatenders created quite an impression on the FFXIV community. Those monsters live on the moon and have a one-of-a-kind appearance. Fortunately for fans of the creatures, they can also be summoned as minions.
How to get the Prince Lunatender minion in FFXIV
It can be difficult to unlock the Prince Lunatender minion. It's a random loot from the level 90 dungeon Smileton, and if you don't acquire the Prince Lunatender minion the first time, you'll have to farm the dungeon. The minion can also be purchased on the market board. Depending on the data center, the cost can range from 600,000 to one million gil. It is not cheap, but most high-level gamers can afford it.
You might not have unlocked the Smileton dungeon because it isn't part of Endwalker's Main Scenario. The mission "Cutting the Cheese" is required to unlock the duty. After completing all of the Endwalker main scenario quests, speak with a Loporrit in Old Sharlayan to obtain it.
Because of the dungeon's unique design, it's also worthwhile to complete it for the experience. If you don't want to farm it, you can try your luck by completing your daily Expert roulettes in the hopes of obtaining this dungeon and its loot.
