Final Fantasy XIV: Where to catch a Smaragdos

The Endwalker expansion for Final Fantasy XIV not only brought a vast storyline, but also a tonne of new regions to explore and resources to add to your collection. To accomplish quests or level up your character, you'll need to find these resources. If you want to finish the Fishing Leve tasks, you'll have to hunt down the Smaragdos fish in Final Fantasy XIV at some point. In Final Fantasy XIV, here's where to go and how to catch the Smaragdos fish.

You'll need the necessary equipment before looking for a Smaragdos. To capture it, you'll need to utilize a Sky Spoon lure. For 50 White Scrips, you can get the Sky Spoon lure from the Scrip exchange. 50 White Scrips can be obtained from the Collector in Radz-at-Hand (X:11, Y:10) or by completing Stadium Delivery missions in Old Sharlayan (X:11, Y:10) (X:4, Y:9). Return to the Scrip Exchange to get your Sky Spoon lure once you've collected all 50.

To access Elpis, you must travel far enough through the Endwalker Main Scenario plot. Smaragdos will be waiting for you when you get to this area. It has been caught by players at Anagnorisis, at coordinates (X:30.2, Y:17.9). To catch a Smaragdos, you'll need to wait for a pair of exclamation points to appear over your character.
