Solar Ash: How to Defeat Withered Eye Remnant in Eternal Gardens
Withered Watch in Solar Ash, a hideously terrifying creature, keeps an eye on you from its moon above Eternal Gardens. Withered Eye is one of the few Remnants with five digits linked to its limbs, making it very disturbing and difficult to defeat. Don't worry, we've got you covered with this instruction on how to get rid of that pesky Remnant.
Solar Ash is the newest game from Heart Machine and Annapurna Interactive, in case you didn't know. There's action, adventure, platforming, and puzzles to be found in this game. It's also the end of the awful bosses. Check out our Solar Ash guides for help with anything from beating a boss to finding the last cache in a given location.
How to Defeat Withered Eye in Solar Ash
In Solar Ash, each Remnant adds something fresh to the table. Instead of the boss battle taking place in and around the main region, Withered Eye invites you to fight on its moon. It also possesses a pair of hands that will do everything they can to swat you. Here's what to keep an eye out for.
As is customary, the fight will begin when you've destroyed all of the anomalies in Eternal Gardens. You will see a rail that will take you to the moon. Before venturing onto the moon's surface, you'll be secure in a crevice with a checkpoint. Make sure you're skating about because Withered Eye will charge towards you. Make sure you don't get hit because the only area to put shields is in the fissure where you started.
Withered Eye will use his hands to strike you. When he charges up, dash immediately away from the Remnant to avoid being hit. When his assault misses you, the weak spot will be revealed, and you'll be able to grapple to begin the timed attack. You'll need to travel up and down Withered Eye, whacking his weak points until you hit his central nerve three times, just like every other boss's timed assault.
Another feature that distinguishes Withered Eye is that he has numerous tentacle-like appendages that will sway and obstruct your strike. Avoid his tentacles at all costs, especially on your last assault when the black ooze sections of Withered Eye deliver damage.
Withered Eye will vanish once you've successfully completed your time attack three times. Just when you think the game couldn't possibly be any better, it does. The next stop is Mirrorsea, which is very stunning.
