Final Fantasy XIV: How to fix Error 3001

You may experience a number of errors while waiting for the Final Fantasy XIV servers to let you into the game. The nature of the errors varies depending on the code and the number of other players trying to load into the game at the same time. Error 3001 is one of the most common. While waiting in line to log into Final Fantasy XIV, you'll see an Error 3001 warning. If you're in a queue, it's because there are a lot of others attempting to get into the game at the same time as you. Every globe and server has a login cap, which ensures that the greatest amount of players can join the game while not overburdening the servers.  

Unfortunately, if you're getting Error 3001, it's because the cap was permitted to be exceeded, resulting in more players being added to a server than were allowed, and those who were still waiting to receive the error and being kicked out of the queue.

Since the release of Endwalker, the Final Fantasy XIV team has been aware of the error and has been working to fix it. While the problem still happens, the queue timer should be much easier to use, and fewer people should encounter it. If you get error 3001, your best bet is to log back into the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and play the game again.
