Genshin Impact Version 2.4 is the next version of the game, and it already boasts a slew of new features, including Shenhe, Yunjin, and an entirely new sub-area in Inazuma. But when will Genshin Impact Version 2.4 be released?

Between different versions of the game, miHoYo maintains a normal six-week update schedule. This timeline is usually rather stable, so we can always keep track of when the next game version will be released. This date is January 5, 2022, for Version 2.4.

There are a few things to look forward to in this updated version of the game. Shenhe is a 5-star Cryo Polearm character who serves as a supporting character for other Cryo and Physical carriers in the game. Yunjin, on the other hand, is a 4-star Geo Polearm character with a unique design who assists a team of four diverse components.

Enkanomiya, a new Dragonspine-like expansion, will also be released in Version 2.4. This site, which is near Sangonomiya Shrine, will have a strong undersea motif and a plethora of new locations to discover.

Finally, the Lantern Rite event, which was a major Liyue event that featured characters like Ganyu and Xiao, will be re-run. According to reports, you'll once again be able to select a free 4-star Liyue character, including the new Yunjin. These are, however, unconfirmed and subject to change at any time.
