Who is Atriox in Halo Infinite?

Halo Infinite starts off strong. The game begins with Master Chief in the midst of battle, and it isn't long until he runs into a powerful antagonist in the form of Atriox, who treats the Chief like a ragdoll, despite his 7-foot-tall, 1,000-pound statue. However, Atriox is revealed to have been slain — reportedly — halfway through the game's first level. We don't get to spend much time with him in Infinite, but he appears to be a key character in future Halo games. In Halo Infinite, here's everything you need to know about Atriox. Atriox initially appeared in Halo Wars 2, where it was revealed that he once fought for the Covenant during the Human-Covenant conflict. Atriox, on the other hand, was skeptical of the Covenant's religious conquest of the cosmos. His questioning of the group's values enraged Covenant leadership, who tried to put him to death to put down any potential rebellion. Atriox, on the other hand, killed his executioner, sparking more revolt inside the Covenant; his acts won him a devoted following. Atriox and his supporters soon deserted the Covenant. His band of outlaws would become known as "The Banished."

Atriox endeavored to unearth the secrets of Zeta Halo, the game's setting, in Halo Infinite, which culminated in the Banished occupying the ring.
