A gas station is the greatest spot to find a Gas Can in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1. There are generally a couple of these in the maintenance shed along with tires and tools, and possibly an upgrade bench and/or car. To be clear, you're looking for small red refueling cans to pick up and add to your inventory. Gas Cans are not the enormous blue drums that are sometimes spotted in the backyards of gas stations. Neither are the Gas Pumps.

Once you’ve found and collected a Gas Can, you need to harm an opponent or player-built structure by detonating it in order to fulfill the seasonal quest of more or less the same name. You can hurl the Gas Can at an opponent and hope that they stay motionless long enough for you to shoot and ignite it, however, this is a risky (but amazing) method of completing the objective.

It’s considerably easier to harm a player-made structure, although it does have to have been created by an opposing player. The quest's phrasing suggests that any player-built structure will suffice, but we tested it and it didn't work.

Fortunately, most players in Fortnite create a lot of structures, so finding one during a match is usually not difficult. If you’re feeling daring you could damage a freshly built structure that still has an opponent standing in, on, or behind it, but again, it’s easier to just pick a long-abandoned structure and finish this mission without the approaching fear of elimination.

Simply press the fire button to throw the Gas Can at the structure (don't worry, it won't explode), then retreat to a safe distance and fire bullets into the can until flames appear. It'll explode in a second or two, and you'll get 25,000 XP.
