Genshin Impact 2.4 leaks: Shenhe's Elemental Skill, Burst, and Talent

In less than 12 hours, Genshin Impact 2.4 will receive its planned maintenance update, and fans will only have to wait a few more hours to cheer for Shenhe. MiHoYo just released a character demo video highlighting Shenhe and her playstyle in order to pique gamers' interest in this exorcist. In addition, Genshin Impact made a major discovery about Chongyun and Shenhe's relationship.

Shenhe is a new 5-star character who can see in the dark and wields a polearm. During the 2.4 Livestream, she was introduced as a supporting character, and her Elemental Skill, Burst, and Talent skills back up that claim.

Shenhe's Elemental Skill, Burst and Talent in Genshin Impact 2.4

Shenhe's Elemental Skill

'Spring Spirit Summoning,' Shenhe's Elemental Skill, deals Cryo damage to opponents and confers an Icy Quill effect to all nearby party members. Depending on whether players tap or hold the button, this skill has two variations.
  • Tap: Together with a Talisman Spirit, rushes ahead, dealing Cryo damage to opponents.
  • Hold: Slide backward and commands the Talisman Spirit to deal AoE Cryo damage.
When any active character's Normal, Charged, Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skill, or Burst deals Cryo damage to foes, the damage is increased dependent on Shenhe's current ATK stat.

The effects of the Icy Quill will stop when they reach the stated duration or have been activated a particular number of times. One thing to keep in mind is that if players hold the Elemental Skill button-down, the Icy Quill's effect lasts longer and can be used more times than if they press it.

If the active character deals Cryo damage to many opponents at the same time, the Icy Quill's effect will be activated multiple times, depending on how many opponents were struck. Furthermore, each party member's amount of times the Icy Quill's effect is triggered is different.

Shenhe's Elemental Burst

'Divine Maiden's Deliverance,' Shenhe's Elemental Burst, summons a Talisman Spirit to create a field that deals periodic Cryo damage in an AoE. (Area of Effect). Enemies within the field will have their Cryo RES and Physical RES reduced at the same time.

Shenhe's Talent in Genshin Impact

In Genshin Impact, most characters will have three passive abilities. During the 2.4 live streams a few weeks ago, the developers unveiled all of Shenhe's passive abilities:

1) Spirit Communication Seal

The first passive talent will grant boosts to adjacent party members according to whether Shenhe's Elemental Skill is held or touched after she activates it.
  • Tap: Increase the damage dealt by teammate's Elemental Skill and Burst
  • Hold: Increase the damage dealt by teammate's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack

2) Deific Embrace

A Cryo damage bonus will be applied to any active character within Shenhe's Elemental Burst AoE field.

3) Precise Comings and Goings

This talent will improve the rewards gained when Shenhe is despatched on a Liyue expedition for 20 hours.

Shenhe's role in the team is clearly that of a Cryo supporter rather than a damage dealer. As a result, unlike other Cryo characters like Ganyu, Ayaka, or Eula, players should not expect Shenhe to deliver massive damage. Instead, Genshin Impact players can include Shenhe in their party to boost the DPS characters' damage output.
