Genshin Impact 2.5 leaks: Hyakunin Ikki event to bring back Ayaka, Yoimiya, and more trials
The fresh Hyakunin Ikki Genshin Impact leaks provide some important details about the next trial characters. According to the 2.5 betas, the following trial characters will be available for this event:
- Ayaka
- Yoimiya
- Kazuha
- Itto
- Xiangling
- Razor
The level of these characters has yet to be revealed. The trial characters were set to Level 80 the last time this event took place, back in Genshin Impact 2.1. In some of the recent leaks, tiny details regarding prospective enemies have also been revealed.
Genshin Impact 2.5 leaks: Hyakunin Ikki update
The tweet casually disclosed all of the 2.5 rerun event's impending trial characters. STC stands for "subject to change," because the information exposed in these leaks is always susceptible to change before it is released in its final form.
This event has six characters (like the first run), however, instead of three of each rarity, the 2.5 edition has four 5-stars and two 4-stars. It's also a whole new cast. In contrast, the original event included:
- Xiao
- Childe
- Ganyu
- Yanfei
- Ningguang
- Fischl
These were all Level 80 characters with fixed equipment. It's worth mentioning that these trial characters were optional for players. One could create their own characters or mix and match two different types of characters if they so desired.
Travelers were already aware that Hyakunin Ikki would return to Genshin Impact 2.5 due to previous leaks such as the one mentioned above. Players needed to be at least Adventure Rank 30 and have completed the Archon Quest and Ritou Escape Plan to participate in the original event.
Travelers were required to form several two-person teams and were allowed to equip two Garyuu Arts per team to aid them. The main purpose of this event was to reach certain point thresholds in order to receive awards.
New enemy type in this event
This event rerun will reportedly include a new monster type known as Shadowy Husk, which has anti-shield abilities. For example, if they attack an active player with a shield, they can heal nearby opponents. They'll also make an appearance in Genshin Impact 2.5.
In Genshin Impact, the above video shows what Shadowy Husks can do. The presence of Shadowy Husks damages any shield users the player brings into the event, as the great bulk of the future trial characters do not use shields.
