Genshin Impact: Censorship and alternate outfits for all regions

Due to censorship issues, the community has panned Genshin Impact's latest alternate outfits. Many gamers dislike having their video games banned unnecessarily, therefore it's a controversial topic. In the case of Genshin Impact, a few characters just received new attire. These new outfits are more modest than their original styles, but most players can choose to wear them.

They are not, however, optional for Chinese players. Many travelers are concerned that, because miHoYo is a Chinese corporation, future designs may be limited to appease the current political climate.

Censorship in Genshin Impact via alternate outfits

The new alternate costumes were recently sent to most Travelers via in-game mail. To prepare it, they must:

• Open the character selection menu.
• Select the icon of a clothes hanger.
• In the Dressing Room, put on the appropriate costume.
• To save it, click "Switch."

Global participants are offered these optional costumes (for non-Chinese servers) for free, and they are available to all future players. These costumes were recently given to the following characters:

• Amber
• Jean
• Mona
• Rosaria

Each of the four new outfits was designed to make the characters appear more humble than before. There isn't much emphasis on cleavage or derrieres. It's unclear whether or not future characters will be given total makeovers like these four.

Even if they don't own the character, travelers will still receive these outfits. They have the same default icon as the rest of the Dressing Room's basic clothing. Each costume has a distinct description from its standard outfit.

The original uniforms are shown next to the updated ones in the tweet above. It shows the four characters from both the front and back. The NPC versions of these characters will utilize these designs in the future, so travelers should get used to seeing them (even if they don't like them).

The second half of the above image is the most essential. In Genshin Impact 2.5 and later, NPC versions of Jean, Amber, Rosaria, and Mona would always wear their Alternate Outfits. This modification will have an impact on animation cutscenes as well.

It's also worth mentioning that this alteration has an impact on all Genshin Impact players. It just changes the looks of the NPC versions of these characters, but it's still considered censorship, and people are upset about it.

Other minor censorships in Genshin Impact

Other forms of censoring are less severe than changes to a character's clothes. Ningguang's shoulder blades have smoothed out in her new skin, as seen in the following tweet. This update may currently be seen in the game, much to the chagrin of several fans.

Characters like Eula, for example, still have their natural shoulder blades. Although some fans are concerned, it is presently unknown if every character will have it deleted in the future.

In Genshin Impact, the issue of censoring is polarising, as true fans adore the new alternate clothes. According to the most recent design modifications, several features of the game will be changed in future versions, regardless of area.
