Monster Hunter Rise: How To Play The Mega Man Crossover and unlock the Rush Layered Armor for your Palamute

The PC release of Monster Hunter Rise brings a lot of graphic and performance improvements over the previous Nintendo Switch exclusive. It also includes roughly a year's worth of post-launch content upgrades, including crossovers with some of Capcom's most popular games. Here's how you get Mega Man's DLC and transform your Palamute into the blue bomber's best pal.

The Mega Man collaboration introduces a new Event Quest that allows you to obtain a special Layered Armor gear that converts your Palamute into Mega Man's loyal robotic dog, Rush. You may customize its armor color and movements, such as morphing into Rush Jet and unleashing Rush Coil to launch you into the air while riding on its back.

Talk to Senri the Mailman in the Steelworks sector of the Kamura village hub to unlock this crossover. To add the "Blue Bomber's Best Bud" Event Quest to your quest board, go to "Add-on Content" and select it from the list. You can simply choose "Collect All" to get all of the DLC available right now.

You should next go to the Gathering Hub to see Minoto the Quest Maiden. Blue Bomber's Best Bud is mentioned under the "High Rank" category under "Event Quests." This is a 6* High-Rank quest, although you can start it once you achieve Hunter Rank 4.

The assignment itself is a short Arena quest that requires you to beat a Zinogre that is smaller than typical. You can make the mission a Join Request Hunt so that other players can join and speed it up, and finishing it will reward you with Dog Bolts, which you can use to construct the rare Palamute armor.

You'll need four Dog Bolts in total, so you'll have to replay the quest a few times to collect everything you'll need. To obtain the two Zinogre scraps needed to build the armor, you must additionally sell some Zinogre+ material with Buddy Smith. You can create the Rush Layered Armor at the Buddy Smith once you have all of the ingredients, and then go out with your trusty robotic buddy by your side.
