No Man’s Sky: How to farm Runaway Mould

There are a few materials in No Man's Sky that can be processed into Nanites, the currency you'll need to buy stuff for your ongoing trip at most merchants. However, they're often scarce, and even when you do discover them, they're not in great enough amounts to fill your wallet with Nanites. This article will show you how to farm Runaway Mould so you may start your own Nanite factory.

Step 1: Find a planet with Curious Deposits

The first step is to find a planet that has Curious Deposits on it. Look about until you find one of these spheres, which spawn in bunches on most worlds. Set up a base and a short-range teleporter once you've done that, then fly off to another cluster of Curious Deposits at least 600 U distant from the first one. Set up a second base and a second short-range teleporter once you've found it.

Step 2: Continue mining the Curious Deposits, refining them, and repeating the process

You can now mine all of the Curious Deposits at one base, teleport to the other, wait for the Curious Deposits to load in, and then mine those as well. After mining all of the Curious Deposits as much as you like, you can repeat the procedure, teleporting between your bases. Then, at each base, you'll need to put up a few refiners so that you can dump all of the Runaway Mould you've collected and start processing it into Nanites. If you keep this up, you'll soon be swimming in Nanites.
