Pokemon Legends Arceus: How to get Merit Points

We've spoken about how the most recent Pokemon game is more of an RPG, but here's a hint: Arceus has MP in Pokemon Legends! Except we're just playing with your emotions. It offers multiplayer, but not in the way you may think of a JRPG. We're talking about Merit Points, a new currency that can be used on a variety of valuable products.

While Legends: Arceus is mostly a single-player Pokemon game, it does contain some multiplayer elements. One of these is the new Lost and Found system, which is where MP comes into play. It's a little like Dark Souls in that other people's actions in Legends: Arceus flow into your world through the online connection. What's leftover can be gathered to gain MP, which can then be used to purchase uncommon and hard-to-find items.

Pokemon Legends Arceus MP is best seen as a secondary currency that may be used in conjunction with Pokedollars to obtain new and significant items. Simply go out and explore the open world to acquire additional MP.

Obtain your map. In various places on the map, you'll probably see some unusual rectangular icons with circles around them. If you look closely, you'll see that the icons change position from time to time. These icons symbolize other players' Satchels that have passed out in the perilous wilderness of Hisui, and by picking them up, you will be restoring the lost stuff to those players via the internet.

Merit Points, or MP, are earned in this way and can be redeemed in the menu's Lost & Found area. When you load into new locations, the game will constantly give you fresh satchels to find.

Satchels are little dark yellow items that, in the real world, rest rather flat on the floor. Although they aren't particularly obvious, their color contrasts with the earth in most of Pokemon Legends: Arceus' biomes. They always spawn on land and are indicated on the map, so you can chase them down if you want to.

The quantity of MP you earn from each Satchel appears to be dependent on the quality of the goods in the satchel as well as the difficulty of reaching it. Those two factors will, of course, be defined by the user who dropped it: the contents of the satchel will be determined by what they were carrying and how much extra inventory space they have, and the position of the satchel will be determined by their location at the moment of failure. We've observed 100 as the greatest value for returning a Satchel.
