Imane 'Pokimane' Anys, a long-time Twitch streamer, was banned mid-way through a 10-hour Avatar: The Last Airbender watch party on January 7 due to DMCA violations. It's uncertain how long she'll be out of commission. Twitch's DMCA dramas have progressed from music to TV series, and Pokimane has become the platform's first major victim.

The prominent streamer was broadcasting a 10-hour Avatar: The Last Airbender watch party to tens of thousands of viewers — mirrored to try to get around the system — only to be kicked off the platform completely on January 7.

Her Twitch profile, which has 8.5 million followers, is no longer active and redirects to a 404 page. Pokimane's suspension follows the development of Twitch reaction material for TV shows and movies. While fellow streamers like Sodapoppin and Ludwig warn about the perils of DMCA, xQc, Mizkif, and others have gone viral watching Masterchef and Avatar.
