WWE 2K22: Release date, platforms, GM Mode, and Everything we know about

WWE 2K22 is the world's biggest wrestling company's follow-up to the rocky release of WWE 2K20. After a two-year delay, many of the issues that plagued the previous game in the series should be resolved. Here's all we know about it so far, including the release date and the return of GM Mode. The release of WWE 2K20 quickly became a nightmare for 2K. A slew of bugs, malfunctions, and difficulties resulted in a slew of YouTube compilations highlighting the game's shortcomings.  

As a result of the outcry, WWE 2K21 was canceled, and 2K was forced to start over. WWE 2K22 aims to make peace two years later with a new release and the return of a beloved game mode.

WWE 2K22 release date

According to the latest reports, WWE 2K22 will be published in March 2022. According to reports, an early access period will begin on Tuesday, March 8, with the full release following on Friday, March 11. In light of 2K21's cancellation and subsequent delays, this differs from the customary October release period for earlier titles.

However, a revised release date could help, since WWE fans will be able to get their hands on the new championship before Wrestlemania this April.

WWE 2K22 platforms

WWE 2K22 is projected to be a big release on a variety of platforms, including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. It's uncertain how the previous-generation and current-generation versions will compare. However, if previous examples of other brands provide any indication, we should expect a variation in visual fidelity, load times, and possibly included functionality.

WWE 2K22 GM Mode & gameplay

On November 19, 2021, 2K released a teaser highlighting the key features of WWE 2K22, including the return of GM Mode. The much-requested mode, which was last featured in Smackdown vs Raw in 2008, has finally arrived in the WWE series.

The rebranded "MyGM Mode" lets the best fantasy wrestling bookers on the internet construct their own roster and legendary storylines and feuds. Players must maximize their talent, generate interesting rivalries and matches, and make their brand as powerful as possible while balancing a budget.

WWE 2K22 Cover Art

While nothing is official yet, the cover art for WWE 2K22 appears to have leaked ahead of time. If early leaks are to be believed, Rey Mysterio will appear on the covers of two different editions. The ordinary and deluxe editions each have their own cover showcasing the high-flying legend.

WWE 2K22 editions and pre-order bonuses

WWE 2K22 is slated to include a lot of special bonuses as part of pre-order incentives and premium edition upgrades, just like in past years. Despite the fact that nothing has been officially verified as of yet, early leaks appear to have disclosed all that is coming.

WWE 2K22 Deluxe Edition

WWE 2K22 Deluxe Edition offers a slew of extra features. First and foremost, players who purchase this version will receive three days of early access starting March 8th. This edition also includes the inaugural Season Pass as well as the Undertaker Immortal Pack, which will be discussed further down.

WWE 2K22 Undertaker Immortal Pack

This year's pre-order bonus is said to be the Undertaker Immortal Pack. "Three Undertaker personas: Phantom Mask Undertaker, Lord of Darkness Undertaker, and the Boneyard Match Undertaker" are included in this one-of-a-kind bonus. Furthermore, the bundle includes a MyFaction EVO card for The Undertaker, as well as a variety of Perks and Bonuses.
