Changing the name of the Java and Bedrock versions of Minecraft

Changing a player's name begins at Minecraft.net, the game's official website. A login link can be found in the top-right corner of the jump page on this site. Players will be prompted to provide their details after clicking this. If they haven't merged their Mojang account with Xbox Live, players will need to either their Microsoft account credentials or their Mojang account details.

In any case, gamers will proceed to the profile screen after entering their information. A player's in-game name, as well as his or her Xbox Gamertag, should appear here. For Java Edition players, click the modify link, which will bring up a menu containing a text field. After that, players may simply type in their new name and click "change profile name."
