Destiny 2: How to complete Trust Goes Both Ways

Fynch, a Hive Ghost who wants to assist you to bring down Savathûn, will appear as you proceed through the Witch Queen expansion plot in Destiny 2. The Guardians and Fynch must learn to trust one another, which will take time and effort. You'll eventually be given the quest Trust Goes Both Ways, which you must complete in order to acquire Fynch's trust and continue further in the game. In this guide, we'll show you how to finish Destiny 2's Trust Goes Both Ways.

How to complete Trust Goes Both Ways

1st step

Looting area chests on Savathûn's Throne World is the first step towards gaining Fynch's trust. These, however, are hidden. To find them, you'll have to go out of your way. The little markers on your map will identify some notable spots where you can discover the Region Chests on the Throne World. To advance, you must visit three of these locations.

2nd Step

Following the discovery of three region chests, you must engage in a Public Event and defeat 100 Scorn. You can do so by exploring any of Throne World's regions and waiting for one of the Miasma region's Public Events to spawn on your server.

• Defeat 100 Scorn
• Complete a Public Event on the Throne World’s Miasma region

3rd step

Following the completion of the Public Event and the elimination of Scorn in the Miasma zone, you must perform two patrols and loot four faction chests in the Miasma region. Because you won't have to travel far, you'll want to stay in the same region. Any of the patrols in this region can be taken, but the faction chests will be more difficult to obtain.

Small squads of Scorn in the region will have a chest nearby, which you can find by beating them. However, you need to make sure it's a chest that matches a specific design.

• Four Scorn Faction Chests
• Two Patrols in Miasma Region

The four Scorn Faction Chests in the Miasma zone can be found here.

4th step

The fourth phase is to gain Fynch's Rank 3 reputation. If you've been running about for Fynch and accomplishing these duties, you should already be at rank 3. Complete more patrols, Public Events, and take out Scorn in this region if you haven't before.

5th step

Finally, you must return to Fynch and turn in the task in order to earn your reward.
