Elden Ring: How to get and use Crimson Amber Medallions
There are a lot of fantastic things to get early on in your Elden Ring adventure. The Crimson Amber Medallion is an excellent Talisman item to get because it improves your total health. This item is very useful in the early stages of the game when your vigor may be below or you are still learning how to play. The Crimson Amber Medallion can be obtained and used in the following ways.
Where to find Crimson Amber Medallions
Early in the Elden Ring, there are two ways to obtain a Crimson Amber Medallion. The first choice is to start the game with the Talisman as your keepsake. While this means you'll start the game with better health, it also means you'll miss out on nicer commemorative goods. A Crimson Amber Medallion from a merchant, who can be found fairly early in the game, is a superior option.
A merchant is stationed near a campfire on the Weeping Peninsula in South Limgrave. This is right close to the Castle Morne Rampart Site of Grace, on the southern border of the castle, roughly halfway to the castle. A Crimson Amber Medallion costs 1,500 runes from the merchant.
This location is a little further distance from the starting point, but it is easily accessible by horseback. Between you and the merchant, there is a bridge with a large crossbow on it and a valley with a monster, but you can easily fly past these opponents with Torrent.
What Crimson Amber Medallions do
The Crimson Amber Medallion is a Talisman that, like armor and weapons, may be equipped. Players will acquire 1% more health if they have the medallion equipped. While this may appear to be a small quantity of health, depending on the enemy, it can mean the difference between life and death. Later in Elden Ring, players will most likely swap to more powerful Talismans, but there aren't many in the early portion, so it's worth looking for.
