Genshin Impact 2.5: Update maintenance schedule and countdown for all regions

On February 16, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. (GMT+8), Genshin Impact 2.5 will be released, with maintenance starting at 6:00 a.m. (GMT+8). Naturally, the time will differ from one region to the next. Although all regions are expected to receive the update at the same time, it's worth noting that maintenance can always end early. Maintenance is expected to begin at 6:00 a.m. (GMT +8) and last for five hours, based on previous experience.

As a result, all of the times in this post are based on the assumption that the maintenance will continue the entire five hours (no more and no less).

What the expected Genshin Impact 2.5 update and maintenance schedule is for all regions

The above countdown will be useful to players in any region, as it will indicate when maintenance is expected to be completed. If it says "Genshin Impact 2.5 should have begun," it means the scheduled maintenance should be finished by then. Otherwise, the player will be shown the number of days, hours, minutes and seconds remaining.

Keep in mind that the above countdown is only for when the update is expected to go live; maintenance will take place five hours earlier than shown. Not every player, however, will want to see a countdown. They may instead want to know a specific time when Genshin Impact 2.5 will begin. In that situation, the sections that follow will contain some times for various regions.

American players

The first time shows when maintenance will begin, while the second time tells when the game will be available to North and South American travellers:

• 12:00 - 17:00 Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time
• 13:00 - 18:00 Alaskan Standard Time
• 14:00 - 19:00 Pacific Standard Time
• 15:00 - 20:00 Mountain Standard Time
• 16:00 - 21:00 Central Standard Time
• 17:00 - 22:00 Eastern Standard Time

For American travellers, all of the above timings occur on February 15, 2022.

European players

The first time specifies when maintenance will begin, while the second time indicates when travellers in Europe will be allowed to play the game:

• Greenwich Mean Time: 22:00 - 3:00
• Western European Time: 22:00 - 3:00
• Central European Time: 23:00 - 4:00
• Eastern European Time: 0:00 - 5:00
• Moscow Standard Time: 1:00 - 6:00

On February 16, 2022, the entire European player base will be playing Genshin Impact 2.5, though maintenance will begin in some countries the day before.

Asian players

The first time shows when maintenance will begin, while the second time tells when the game will be available to Asian travellers:

• India Standard Time is 3:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m.
• 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. China Standard Time
• 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Philippine Standard Time
• Korea Standard Time is 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Japan Standard Time is 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Genshin Impact 2.5 maintenance will begin on February 16, 2022, for the Asian player base, with the game becoming playable on the same day.
