Genshin Impact 2.5 update: Kokomi ascension materials, builds, weapons, and more
The second half of Genshin Impact 2.5 will feature a re-run of Sangonomiya Kokomi. Kokomi is a one-of-a-kind kit with a negative crit rate as her passive talent, yet with the appropriate build, the five-star hydro catalyst can deliver considerable damage.
Kokomi is a five-star support character that has shown sub-DPS potential and outstanding healing powers in recent spiral abyss teams. Despite the outcry, Kokomi is currently used by many vape and electro-charged spiral abyss teams. In Genshin Impact, players who want to see Kokomi in the forthcoming banner should start farming her ascension materials, artifacts, and weapons.
Genshin Impact: Kokomi ascension materials, builds, weapons, and more
To get Kokomi to level 90, players will need to farm Varunada Lazurite Gems, Dew of Repudiation, Sango Pearl, and Spectral Drops. All of these ascension materials can be found in Inazuma.
Hydro hypostasis can be discovered in Suigetsu Pool, Watatsumi Island, and Suigetsu Pool for Varunada Lazurite and Dew of Repudiation. They can combat specters of any element found in Inazuma to obtain spectral drops. Players can look up the ingredients needed for ascension in the table below:
Level 20 | 1x Varunada Lazurite Sliver, 3x Sango Pearl, 3x Spectral Husk | 20,000 Mora |
Level 40 | 3x Varunada Lazurite Fragment, 10x Sango Pearl, 2x Dew of Repudiation, 15x Spectral Husk | 40,000 Mora |
Level 50 | 6x Varunada Lazurite Fragment, 20x Sango Pearl, 4x Dew of Repudiation, 12x Spectral Heart | 60,000 Mora |
Level 60 | 3x Varunada Lazurite Chunk, 30x Sango Pearl, 8x Dew of Repudiation, 18x Spectral Heart | 80,000 Mora |
Level 70 | 6x Varunada Lazurite Chunk, 45x Sango Pearl, 12x Dew of Repudiation, 12x Spectral of Nucleus | 100,000 Mora |
Level 80 | 6x Varunada Lazurite Gemstone, 60x Sango Pearl, 20x Dew of Repudiation24x Spectral of Nucleus | 120,000 Mora |
Players can create either a support Kokomi, which is better for vape teams, or a DPS Kokomi, which serves as an on-field hydro applicator for electro-charged teams. Kokomi, support, focuses on maintaining 100 percent uptime of her elemental talents, which she uses to constantly apply hydro to her opponents. For a support build, players can use a four-piece set of the Tenacity of Milelith, which boosts team ATK by 20% and improves HP by 20%.
They could also use a four-piece Maiden Beloved outfit, which enhances healing effectiveness by 15% and increases healing received by all party members by 20% for 10s when using elemental skill or burst.
Players can choose from the following weapon options:
- Everlasting Moonglow
- Prototype Amber
- Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers
- Sacrificial Fragments
- Oathsworn Eye
DPS Kokomi focuses on dealing damage on the battlefield while also healing and applying hydro elements to foes. This DPS build is ideal for electro-charged teams, since Kokomi will deal consistent hydro damage to opponents.
A four-piece set of Ocean-Hued Clam is recommended for a DPS build. The two-piece set bonus increases healing by 15%, while the four-piece set bonus converts total healing into raw damage on opponents.
Players can choose from the following weapon options:
- Everlasting Moonglow
- Prototype Amber
- Hakushin Ring
- Sacrificial Fragments
- Oathsworn Eye
As corrosion and anti-shield foes become increasingly prevalent in Genshin Impact, more individuals will turn to Kokomi. Hopefully, now that the community has seen her actual ability in Genshin Impact, her repeat banner will perform better than the original banner.
