Horizon Forbidden West: How to find The Daunt Relic Ruins passcode and key

One of your missions in Horizon Forbidden West is to locate decorations all around the land. The Daunt Relic Ruins feature one such artifact, but you'll have to use your wits to unlock the door and locate the ornament. Directly south of Chainscrape and north of a scrounger site are the Daunt Relic Ruins. When you arrive, you'll notice three dilapidated wooden structures from a bygone era.

A blue and yellow box can be found inside the first building on the left. Set the triangle button beneath a higher platform on the right side with the locked door by pressing the triangle button. You'll also see a yellow circle that Aloy can grasp.

You'll notice the sealed chamber we need to enter as well as a terminal that requires some sort of passcode. To get into it, we'll need to find the key and the passcode. A wooden ramp may be found to the left of the sealed room. To cross over to the next building, sprint with the L3 button and jump. If you look down, you'll find something unusually purple on a shattered bench. To scan it, hold down the R3 button. This will give you a note with the passcode on it. We'll talk about it later.

Equip your pullcaster by pressing the L1 button and triangle to receive the green chest seen above. One blast trap, five machine muscles, three metal shards, two wild meat, six medical berries, and seven metal bites will be included in the package.

On the second floor, walk around for a moment and you'll locate another blue and yellow block. Pull out your pullcaster and attach the whip to the box to lower it. This can now be used as a platformer. The pullcaster, on the other hand, will not be used for the last time. You'll notice a vent-like item above Aloy's head if you turn around. She can crawl into a tunnel if she pulls it down. Another pillar with a blue marker can be found on the right. Use the pullcaster on that so Aloy can use the box you just pulled down to climb her way to the tunnel.

Continue on now that you're in the third building, and you'll find a hole in the ground. If you go beneath Aloy, you'll finally see a way out. One of the yellow handholds breaks as you attempt to climb. What a snare. When you reach the end of the tunnel, look up to discover some blue metal hanging from the ceiling. Re-use the pullcaster to lower the rock and create a fresh hole.

Pull the wall between the second and third buildings down once you've gotten back to the surface. Everything is now in order. Take the block from the second building and place it in the new hole you've created. Continue moving it along the tunnel to the handhold place that Aloy fumbled in. You can now climb out of the tunnel and into the next region using the box from the second building.

Stop once you've reached the third building's top and look to the left for a chest with a blue light on a balcony. Collect it by descending.

Return to the first building and climb to the restricted area, but before you interact with anything, press the touchpad to bring up your menu. Using the L1 or R1 buttons, navigate to the "Notebook" area. Find "Datapoints" and then "Relic Ruins" at the bottom of the page. The passcode can be found at the conclusion of the text file. We discovered the year was 1705.

Enter the number into the terminal on the locked door's left side. It will be able to open up after that. The Daunt's ornament will then be ready for you to pick up. This was a historical enigma that we have now solved, but how to break metal blossoms is not mentioned. We've already gone over how to achieve that.
