Horizon Forbidden West: How to get Arena Medals

In the Forbidden West, you can trade with a wide range of different currencies. Black Boxes can be exchanged for machine components, scrap metal can be exchanged for a variety of things, and Arena Medals can be exchanged for formidable weaponry. To get there, you'll have to cultivate for a time. In Horizon Forbidden West, here's how to obtain Arena Medals.

How to unlock the arena

You'll need to open the arena before you can get your hands on the Arena Medals. During the Kulrut narrative task, the arena is demolished. You'll be allowed to go to the arena immediately north of The Memorial Grove after completing this assignment. When you speak with Kalla, you will receive the quest "Opening the Arena." Once you've finished it, the arena will reopen for business.

How to get and spend Arena Medals

You can compete in numerous tasks to win Arena Medals once the arena is open. Each of these tasks has a time limit that must be met in order to receive the medals specified on the challenge. The more difficult the assignment, the more medals you'll receive at once. You will still win if you finish the task within the time limit, but you will not earn the medals.

When you've collected enough medals, go outside the arena gate to the Prize Master to purchase stuff. Warning: These products can be quite costly, so save your money until you've amassed a large number of medals.
