Lost Ark: How the Roster system and buffs work

The Roster system in Raiders of the Lost Ark provides a number of buffs that you can employ to improve your characters' stats as they travel through the game. As you play, you'll be increasing your character's Roster level as well as their combat level. The Roster level, on the other hand, connects to all of the characters you use on a server and strengthens them all. It's a little unclear how that works. This article explains how the Roster system and buffs operate in Lost Ark, so you can see how important they are.

While on any of the characters on a server, go to the Roster menu on the lower-right side or click the O button to see your current Roster level. You'll be able to see all of your characters' stat boosts as well as their current Roster levels from there. In essence, these are all passive stat gains that your characters on a server share, providing them with additional effects while playing.

The battle level of your character is distinct from their Roster level. You can go through the entire game with a single character, and the Roster level remains the same when you create a new one. The Roster XP you get while leveling this up will level up the entire system for all characters, including those you've already completed the game with.

Additional Roster XP can be earned through specific actions and side-quests. We strongly advise you to go above and above to complete these experiences in order to raise your Roster level.
