Lost Ark: How to Unlock and Use the Ocean Liner

With so many continents to see, the Ocean Liner function in Lost Ark is one of the most effective ways to get around quickly. Fortunately, it's simple to unlock and utilize. The universe of Raiders of the Lost Ark is vast, with many culturally diverse continents to discover. The ability to travel and see such a wide range of destinations makes the game feel like a full-fledged adventure, and it's one of the game's main draws.

Fortunately, there are other ways to get across Arkesia in the game, one of which is the Ocean Liner. Unlocking the Ocean Liner will allow you to explore the true beginning of your epic journey, so here's how to do it!

UNLOCKING LOST ARK‘S OCEAN LINER

For a little fee, the Ocean Liner allows you to travel between continents faster than your own ship. Ocean liners will be docked at most major ports, allowing you to depart your ship at any dock and go sightseeing. Because you can travel to any port you've visited previously, Ocean Liners are one of the most cost-effective ways to travel around the world.

You must first unlock and utilize Sailing before you can unlock and use the Ocean Liner. This is accomplished by finishing the quest "Set Sail!" while you proceed through the main plot. You can't get the Ocean Liner earlier in the game because sailing is related to the main story.

Visit the Vern Castle area's Crafting District, where you'll discover the NPC Legendary Adventurer. You'll obtain a questline titled "[Guide] Travel Continents with the Ocean Liner" after speaking with him. This mission will teach you how to operate the Ocean Liner to its full extent through in-game chat.

You can now chat to an NPC named [Ocean Liner Agent] the Riff after you've cycled through all of the Legendary Adventurer's conversation. If you go to Wavestrand Port in East Luterra, you'll find him standing on the cobblestone next to some barrels. If you're having trouble identifying the Riff, check for the words "[Ocean Liner Embarkation]" floating above his head.

Simply speak with Riff if you want to travel. A little menu will appear, allowing you to select your desired destination. It will also tell you how much you will have to spend on specific areas. Once you've chosen your location, you'll be transferred to the Ocean Liner.

After that, you'll have to wait about 30 seconds for a short-cut scene to begin. You and any other players on board will set sail through the Arkesian seas, arriving in the port of your choice!

You can use those 30 seconds to disembark if you decide to cancel your journey for any reason. Simply speak with the Riff once again to leave the Ocean Liner. He'll be wearing the words "[Ocean Liner Disembarkation]" above his head this time. You teleport to return to the port from which you came, but you don't get your silverback.
