Lost Ark: When, how, and why to counter attack

Counter-attacking is perhaps one of the most crucial aspects of fighting in Raiders of the Lost Ark, aside from remaining alive and inflicting decent damage. When it comes to Guardian Raids and other PvE content, this skill, which most classes have in some form or another, is vital. How does counter-attacking work, though?

This is a quick rundown of how counter-attacking works. Occasionally, select foes, usually boss monsters and up, will glow blue as they prepare for specific attacks. You can utilize particular attacks during this brief time to halt the onslaught and leave the enemy vulnerable to incoming harm.

Look through your talents for the yellow "counter-attack" mark to see which attacks are capable of doing so. In PvE content, you should always have a counterattack skill on your action bar as a general rule.
