Cyberpunk 2077: How to get the pet iguana
Night City in Cyberpunk 2077 is a desolate monument of unbridled Capitalism, and any vain gonk attempting to dismantle it will wind up flatlining in a ditch. V can adopt a cat to keep her company in the meanwhile if that's any consolation. Sure, most animals are extinct, people eat locust pizza, healthcare is only available to the wealthy, and the corrupt leadership lives longer than Henry Kissinger, but at least V gets to pet the stupid cat. V can now pet an iguana as well.
Pawel Sasko, the mission designer for Cyberpunk 2077, will frequently stream the game on his Twitch channel and enthusiastically reveal lesser-known details about it, which is how he revealed patch 1.5 is chock-full of secret goodies to unearth. One of them is a new scaly companion, and you don't want to miss her!
V will need the iguana egg to get the pet iguana. The egg can be found during the main narrative mission "The Heist," which is the prologue to the major storyline adventure. After Jackie and V successfully avoid Konpeki Plaza hotel security and access Yorinobu Arasaka's room, V has the opportunity to take a look around before everything goes wrong.
The egg was placed in the game at one point, according to Reddit user Rizenstrom, but was later removed and re-added in patch 1.5. Make a beeline for the familiar open terrarium near the hotel room entrance; the iguana egg is buried behind the log where the other iguana is perched on the far left side of the structure. V can set the egg in a tiny bowl near their sofa after they return to their residence in Mega building H10. Johnny and V will have a brief conversation regarding the egg, with V concluding by saying, "Patience is a virtue."
While some players may have discovered the egg before it was removed from the game, others were left perplexed. V will have to wait for the egg to hatch on its own, which will take about 100 in-game days. Until then, remember to pay special attention to Nibbles, our favorite kitty. V is now the proud owner of a highly valuable reptile that was supposed to be extinct 30 years ago.
