Pokemon Legends Arceus: How to get Magby
You'll need to know where to look for Magmar's pre-evolution in the Hisui region. In Pokemon Legends Arceus, here's how to find and catch Magby. Due to the fact that they are pre-evolutionary forms of popular'mon such as Bonsly for Sudowoodo and Cleffa for Clefairy, Baby Pokemon were originally introduced in Generation II and have been a fixture of every Gen since.
Magby, the earliest form of Magmar, is no exception. Unlike earlier games in the series, you can catch them without having to breed and hatch them.
Magby location in Pokemon Legends Arceus
There is only one place in Hisui where you can capture the Fire-type, and that is the Cobalt Coastlands. You must also have the Basculegion mount unlocked.
Follow the steps below to receive Magby once you've met the prerequisites:
- Firespit Island is home to the Baby'mon. You can easily warp to the Molten Arena if you've been there previously.
- If not, you'll have to go surfing to find it. The island is immediately next to Seagrass Haven in the northeast area of the map.
- As you travel the path up to or down from the volcano, you'll come across Magmar - and possibly a Magby, as it appears here as well.
- If it does not appear, you must return to Jubilife Village and reload to reset the spawning.
- Because the Pokemon is extremely timid, you'll have to crouch and use a Stealth Spray to catch it from behind with a Great Ball or better.
