Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: How to complete The Scholar and the Sunstone

The Scholar and the Sunstone is the first task in Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok's The Relic story arc. It's one of the longer quests in the expansion, so make sure you have at least an hour to spare if you want to complete it all at once. This article will show you how to finish it so you don't get stuck any longer than necessary.

Step 1: Rescue the Scholar

To go to the summit of the mountain near the bottom of the map, follow the quest marker. There's a massive structure encircled with Muspels there. Before entering, we recommend lurking around the structure and murdering every Muspel you come across. There's a lot of loot to be acquired, so it's best to get started soon rather than later.

You'll have to battle your way down the mountain while carrying a Dwarf after the cutscene inside the building. Take your time here and use stealth to eliminate any Muspels before engaging in combat. In the long run, this will make the mission go faster. The Dwarf tells that he needs a Sunstone to give Havi what he wants at the bottom of the mountain.

Step 2: Get the Sunstone

For this phase of the mission, you'll receive a second map marker, and you'll need to climb the statue once you arrive. The top of the statue has nothing on it, but it does help you find the Sunstone you're looking for.

To the left of the monument is the structure you must enter. You can enter through the front window, which is open. Apart from the Sunstone and a few rats, there's nothing noteworthy within. Get rid of the rodents with your weapon, get the Sunstone, and go. It's time to head back to the Dwarf.

Step 3: Activate the Sunstone

The Sunstone must be activated in order to complete the quest. After reuniting with the Dwarf and sneaking into a forge, Havi discovers that in order to activate the Sunstone, he must hold it over extremely high heat. Because Havi can unleash the Power of Muspelheim while standing in lava, this is a simple task. Return to the Dwarf after the Sunstone is ready, and the task will be completed.
