Elden Ring: Can you have multiple save slots

Elden Ring's environment is large, with plenty to see, do, and experience, as well as a variety of classes to play and die as. You might find yourself playing as a Hero for hours on end before switching to an Astrologer to perform a spell or two. All you have to do now is start a new game; however, would this overwrite any existing saves? When you start a new game in Elden Ring, this is what happens.

You can access the character creator section by selecting "create a new game" from the menu screen. It's a little unnerving to reach this far without knowing if creating a new character will wipe your existing save, but don't worry. Creating a second, third, or even fourth character has no effect on any previous characters. You'll join the world and begin a new save with your new character once you've completed generating it.

While you cannot save the game yourself, it does save automatically, and each saves is tied to the character you are now playing. As a result, you have complete freedom to create many characters with various builds, classes, and weapons. You can have up to ten separate save slots and characters in total, allowing you to play as anybody you like.
