It appears all around the Lands Between, but in Dragonbarrow you can lure it into many traps that will kill it cruelly. By mounting Torrent, you can provoke the boss' aggro and then go over the bridge's east edge, where they can see you. But be careful as this trail is narrow and not designed for walking. If the boss is closer to the west end of the bridge, they will be enraged, charge you, and jump off the bridge to their death.
It's nasty and funny, and the winner gets the Bloodhound's Step Ashes of War and 42,000 runes. This is the second-strongest version of this boss, and you may only need to hit it once to win. This short walkway can be reached by either jumping or climbing over the bridge's side.
Another cool exploit is to have the cavalry chase you north via a path full of poison traps. You'll use those runes and ashes to good use, so keep going and ready for more difficult battles.
