Elden Ring: How to Get Item in Waypoint Ruins

Elden Ring includes a plethora of artefacts strewn about its beautiful open environment, many of which are placed just out of reach of the player to encourage exploration. FromSoftware has gotten creative with its verticality, placing several hidden items above and below the player with the addition of Torrent, Elden Ring's trusty magical mount, as well as a leap button. Waypoint Ruins in Western Limgrave, the map's first segment, contains one such artefact. Where to Look for the Item

Waypoint Ruins are east-northeast of 'The First Step' Site of Grace, found as the player exits the starting region, and southwest of Mistwood Ruins, where the item can be obtained. It may be found on a dead body above the ruins, near the Giant Poison Flower, in a corner.

Getting Rid of the Flowers

To begin, players must fight the Giant Poison Flower as well as the smaller poison flowers that surround it. Getting the Item

The ruins on which the item sits may have a ledge that leads closer to the ground, but the Tarnished cannot jump high enough to reach it; instead, use the Spectral Steed Whistle to summon Torrent and line him up with the lower ledge (this is more easily done with an analogue controller).

Reach get to the object, start moving higher and use Torrent's double jump. If Torrent is lined up perfectly, players shouldn't have to move or change the camera because his double jump propels him far enough forward that he doesn't overshoot.

Dismount without moving when he reaches the top, and the mystery Tarnished should stand on the ledge correctly, even if there isn't enough room. Return to the start and try to line Torrent up again if players tumble down or overshoot the jump.
