Elden Ring: What are Carian Sorceries and where to find them
If there's one thing Elden Ring possesses, it's a bewildering array of spells and sorcery. There are nearly too many sorceries to keep track of, from blood magic to lava wielding to ice casting. The ten various Carian sorceries are one of the best and most headache-inducing examples of this.
Except for Lucidity, which cures sleep and madness, all of the Carian Sorceries perform one of two things: slice a magic sword or shoot magic swords for the sake of simplicity. All of the Carian Sorceries solely specs off of intelligence, making them ideal for an intelligence sorcery build or a melee-mage hybrid, and the Glintstone Staff may be used to boost any of them.
The majority of Carian Sorceries will be purchased from merchants all across the world, and you'll need two scrolls to obtain the best of what Carian has to offer. To obtain the Glintblade Phalanx and the Carian Slicer, players must obtain the Royal House Scroll from a body atop the bowl-like statue to the southeast of the Agheel Lake South Site of Grace, and then hand it over to Sorceress Sellen, a merchant and NPC located inside the Limgrave Waypoint Ruins to the east of the game's starting point.
Mirel, the Pastor of the Vows, also offers Carian sorceries such as Magic Glintblade, Glintblade Phalanx, Carian Slicer, and Carain Greatsword at the Church of Vows, aka the huge turtle with the goofy cap.
Other Carian sorceries include:
After completing his task, the NPC Preceptor Seluvis sells the Carian Phalanx.
Greatblade Phalanx: dropped the Bols Carian Knight in Cuckoo’s Evergaol after defeat
Magic Downpour: dropped by Preceptor Miriam the enemy invader in the Carian Study Hall
Carian Piercer: dropped by Teardrop Scarab behind the garden in Caria Manor
Lucidity: dropped by invader Preceptor Miriam in Carain Study Hall
Carian Retaliation: sold by Preceptor Seluvis
