If you're a melee player, you understand the value of having an ace in your sleeve while dealing with agile opponents. Keeping track of invaders who like to dodge behind you in order to backstab you or quick-footed bosses who whizz about the arena can be a pain. That's when Troll's Roar enters the picture. This Ash of War is a must-have for heavy weapons players, providing 360 degrees of protection at the cost of some FP. The location of Ash of War: Troll's Roar in Elden Ring is listed below.

You'll need Gormott the Omen King's permission to enter the Mountaintops of the Giants, which means you'll have to fight him first. Go to the spot in the Mountaintops' eastern part above — there's a nearby Site of Grace that you should grab, but it's guarded by an NPC invader who piles bleed. Head to the green icon on the map above after securing the area. To get to the spot, you'll have to evade some spider hands, but there's a geyser waiting for you at the end. Take it up to the top to claim your prize.

Fall damage will kill you, and your death marking will remain on top of the boulder unless you teleport to the adjacent Site of Grace. Troll's Roar sends a shockwave around you, throwing foes back (and shattering stances if they have insufficient poise or endurance). This is a game-changer for Strength builds, as it enables some very devastating AoE attacks when combined with the wide-sweeping heavy weapons that this Art of War may be slotted on.
