Elden Ring: Where to find Eye of Yelough and what it does
It should come as no surprise that Elden Ring has such a diverse range of crafting materials that many of them can only be discovered in very specific locales. This is the case with the Eye of Yelough, a little fruit that grows in "fields stricken by madness," according to its comprehensive description. The Ailing Village, located on the Weeping Peninsula, is the only such location we've found thus far.
Eye of Yelough can be seen growing in abundance on the outskirts of the village, near the Site of Grace marked on the map above. Look for clusters of brilliant red berries, which should not be confused with the more orange-colored Rowa Fruit that also grows in the vicinity, to find it. The biggest problem here is avoiding the frenzied rats that roam the area, but gathering while riding Torrent makes this easy.
Conveniently, items created with Eye of Yelough can be utilized to prevent the onset of lunacy (too bad the inhabitants of the Ailing Village seem to have missed it). Clarifying Boluses can help to prevent the onset of madness while Clarifying Cured Meat can help to boost Focus, a stat that can help you resist both madness and sleep.
