Gran Turismo 7: How to get Gold on the Beyond the Horizon Drift mission
Beginner Drifting 1 is the first Drift Task in Gran Turismo 7. It is part of the Beyond the Horizon mission group. It involves drifting around a lengthy right-hand corner in a Nissan SILVIA Spec-R Aero (S15) '02 on the Fuji International Speedway to score at least 2,000 points. When you know-how, getting 7,000 points and a Gold prize for 5,000 GT7 Credits on this quest isn't difficult.
Steer to the left as quickly as you can, then hard to the right. To begin the drift, take your foot off the pedal for a time and then slam it back on. To maintain a smooth drift, you'll need to ease off the pedal (but not completely off) and start dabbing the steering left.
You'll be able to leave the steering alone and sustain the drift with micro-adjustments to the throttle alone if you get it completely smooth, but this is unlikely, and you don't need it to get Gold. It's also worth mentioning that you don't have to earn all of your points in one go. If your drift ends, simply snap left to right again, like you did in the beginning, to start a new drift. Even if this happens, you can still get Gold.
