Hogwarts Legacy: Can you use Unforgivable Curses?

As your witch or wizard studies to become a proficient student of magic, there will be a variety of spells for them to learn in Hogwarts Legacy. With so many spells to choose from, it can be difficult to know which ones are right for you. Unforgivable Curses are used frequently by the darker characters in the movies and books. In Hogwarts Legacy, can you employ Unforgivable Curses?

After witnessing the PlayStation Hogwarts Legacy State of Play, we saw one of the player characters, Avada Kedvara, use the most terrifying Unforgivable Curse of all. If this spell lands on an opponent, it instantly kills them. While we did witness this curse, we did not see the Cruciatus Curse of the Imperius Curse, which is the other two Unforgivable Curses. The Avada Kedvara spell, on the other hand, is widely regarded as the worst of the three.

We don't know how your character will learn these hazardous spells, but it's implied that as the tale unfolds, you'll have the option of taking a darker path. It's unclear how this works, but it's intriguing to know that certain spells are available if you achieve certain prerequisites as you move through the game.
