PayPal Key feature to Be Discontinued in April

Customers who have been using the popular PayPal Key function have received bad news. This function is no longer available to sign up for, and PayPal will be removing the PayPal Key feature for all existing customers soon. PayPal stopped selling the PayPal Key function to new clients in the United States on March 1, 2022. PayPal will deactivate the PayPal Key function for all existing customers on April 21, 2022, and any new transactions made with their virtual card number would be denied. The notice can be found here.

If you're unfamiliar with PayPal Key, it's a virtual debit card that allows you to use your PayPal account anywhere that accepts credit cards online. PayPal Key can be used as a credit card at any online merchant that takes Mastercard, even if there isn't a PayPal button. You can also use a credit card linked to your PayPal account to make your transaction. This was an advantageous feature for purchases where debit cards were less expensive than credit cards.
