Pokémon Go: Why is Ditto appearing everywhere?

In Pokémon Go, certain surprising things happen, particularly as a result of some of the more distinctive occurrences available throughout the game. Multiple Pokémon will be masquerading as Ditto starting April 1, and you can find them all over the wild, according to multiple users. Why is Ditto popping up all throughout Pokémon Go?

Right now, we're undecided. Niantic has made no official announcement about Ditto's presence in the overworld, and it's only happening in a few places. We suspect it has something to do with April 1st, often known as April Fools' Day. This could explain why so many Ditto has appeared, but we're not sure. It's most likely connected to the April Fools' 2-Oh-22 Special Research event, which has also surfaced in several countries.

According to other gamers reporting the incident, you'll have to wait till April 1 arrives in your local time zone and reaches midnight. Catching as many Ditto as possible and observing what Pokémon they evolve into is recommended, with the possibility of seeing a shiny Ditto.
