Sea of Thieves: How to achieve Pirate Legend status
You'll spend numerous hours traveling the seas, fighting skeletons, and encountering other pirates in Sea of Thieves. The game is designed to provide you with a fun place to waste your time, but some players want to have a goal to strive for. Pirate Legends are players that have attained a level of achievement that few others in the game will ever achieve.
There will be plenty of dedicated players who will do it, but the general public is unlikely to do so because it could take months. In Sea of Thieves, here's how to become a Pirate Legend.
To become a Pirate Legend in Sea of Thieves, you must first reach level 50 in any three of the game's five Trading Companies – since the collapse of The Arena, you can no longer level up Sea Dogs. The Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance, The Hunter's Call, and Reaper's Bones are the companies in question.
While leveling isn't difficult, it does take time. You'll have to complete a lot of missions and give in a lot of bounties to that company. Gold Hoarders, Merchant Alliance, and Order of Souls are the three factions we recommend focusing on. You'll need to acquire level 50 promotions from each firm once you've done enough assignments for each group – you can buy promotions for every five levels.
Talk to the Mysterious Stranger in the tavern at an outpost once you've completed your three-level 50 promotions. To prove that you've done the task, you'll be given the title as well as some new attire and vanity accessories.
The main benefit of becoming a Pirate Legend is access to the Tavern of Legends, also known as Athena's Fortune Hideout, where you can obtain new adventures and an emissary flag. On these endgame expeditions, you will usually find considerably better riches.
Fortunately, if your pirate crew already has a Pirate Legend, they can bring the entire party into the hideout, reducing the amount of grinding required to view the location.
